Every voice on your dairy, heard the same day

Your milkers, feeders and calf crew report their shift by voice, in their own language. You read one translated digest in the morning and reply once. Each worker hears your answer in theirs. Your vet and nutritionist walk the barn with Rumi Walk and leave a scored report the whole team can act on.

An example from the demo farm in the app

Pedro, voice note, 31 sec, Spanish

Ya arreglé la llanta del cargador. El frente del silo tiene moho en la orilla de arriba, como dos pies. Necesitamos más llantas para la cubierta del montón.

Rumi translates it and sorts it
In the manager’s daily digest

I fixed the loader tire. The silage face has mold on the top edge, about two feet. We need more tires for the pile cover.

Done: loader tire Issue, medium: mold on silage face Need: tires for pile cover

Manager to everyone

Good work this week, everyone. Keep sending your reports at the end of each shift.

Pedro reads, or hears read aloud:Buen trabajo esta semana a todos. Sigan mandando su reporte al final de cada turno.

One morning read instead of twenty hallway conversations

These are real Rumi Daily screens, filled with the app’s demo farm. The digest leads with the one thing that matters most today, then every open issue by severity.

Built for everyone who keeps the herd running

Immigrant workers make up 51% of hired labor on US dairies, and the farms that employ them produce 79% of the nation’s milk (Texas A&M study for the National Milk Producers Federation). Rumi is built for teams where the person who sees a problem and the person who fixes it don’t always share a language.

Milkers, feeders and calf crew

Talk for a minute at the end of the shift, in Spanish, English or your own language. No email and no typing: a farm code and a 4-digit PIN, or just WhatsApp.

Rumi Daily

Managers and herdsmen

One digest each morning with what got done, what’s broken, what people need and who hasn’t checked in. Reply once and everyone hears it in their language.

Rumi Daily

Owners

Read every site’s day from one login, without driving to each barn. See which problems were fixed and which carried over.

Rumi Daily

Nutritionists and consultants

Walk the pens and talk. Leave with a report that scores cud chewing, manure, TMR particle size, body condition and five more KPIs.

Rumi Walk

Veterinarians

Record locomotion, metabolic cases and heat stress on the herd walk, add photos, and share a PDF the farm team can act on that day.

How a day runs with Rumi Daily

Four steps, and nobody has to translate, chase people down or type up notes.

  1. End of each shift

    Workers report

One big microphone button and three prompts: what I did, problems I saw, what I need. Or type it, add a photo, or send a WhatsApp voice note.

  2. Right away

    Rumi sorts it

Each report is translated and split into work done, issues, needs and observations, with a severity on every issue. The worker gets a confirmation back.

  3. At the time you choose

    You read one digest

The day’s headline, open issues with what carried over from yesterday, what people need, who checked in, and suggested next steps.

  4. Same day

    You answer once

Reply to one worker or the whole team, typed or spoken. Each person gets it in their own language and can have it read aloud.

Two apps, one team

Rumi Daily is for the people in the barn every day. Rumi Walk is for the people who walk through it with a trained eye.

Shift reports in your own language

  • Voice-first for workers. One button, any language, works offline and sends when there’s signal.
  • WhatsApp built in. Workers who don’t want another app send a voice note instead.
  • A digest you can act on. Issues by severity, resolve or snooze them, and see what carried over.
  • Translated two-way replies. Answer once in English; each worker reads or hears it in theirs.
  • Ask Rumi. “Who hasn’t reported this week?” answered from your farm’s last 7 days.

Walk, talk, get a report

  • Talk instead of writing. Say what you see pen by pen; Rumi Walk turns it into scores.
  • Nine dairy KPIs. Cud chewing, locomotion, body condition, manure, heat stress and more, each color-coded.
  • Works with no signal. Records the whole walk offline and syncs when you’re back in range.
  • A PDF the farm can use. Email it to the manager, owner or the rest of the advisory team.
  • Trends by pen. See whether locomotion or manure scores are moving from one walk to the next.

Advice from the barn walk, in tomorrow’s digest Coming soon

When your nutritionist or vet finishes a walk in Rumi Walk and taps send, a short summary lands in your farm’s Rumi Daily digest, next to what your own team reported, and in your farm’s language.

Rumi Walk

The nutritionist walks the fresh pen, scores it, and sends the report to the farm.

Rumi Daily

The manager sees it under its own heading, with the adviser’s name and a link to the full report.

What changes on the farm

Better employee management

Every worker reports every shift, so you hear from the quiet ones too. You see who checked in, answer what they need, and they hear back from you in their own language.

Better decisions, sooner

A possible LDA, a broken scraper or wet hay reaches you the morning after someone sees it, ranked by severity. Your advisers’ KPI scores sit in the same place instead of a binder.

More efficient operations

No clipboards to collect, no notes to type up, no bilingual employee pulled off the job to interpret. One reply reaches the whole team at once.

Questions dairies ask

What languages does Rumi Daily support?

Workers can report in Spanish, English or their own language. Rumi Daily detects the language, translates the report for the manager, and translates the manager’s reply back for each worker. The app’s buttons and menus are in English and Spanish.

Do workers need an email address or an app account?

No. A worker joins with the farm code, their name and a 4-digit PIN. Workers who would rather not install anything can send their shift report as a WhatsApp voice note or message instead.

Does Rumi replace our herd management software?

No. Herd software keeps the records on each cow. Rumi records what your people saw, did and need each shift, and what your advisers found on their barn walks. It works beside the software you already use.

Does Rumi Walk work without cell signal in the barn?

Yes. Rumi Walk records your walk, photos and video with no signal at all and syncs when the phone is back online. Worker reports in Rumi Daily also wait on the phone and send themselves once there is a connection.

Can a vet or nutritionist share findings with the farm team?

Yes. A Rumi Walk report goes out as a PDF by email, or through any app on the phone. A direct link that drops a short summary of each walk into the farm’s Rumi Daily digest is in development.

Who sees worker reports, and how long are they kept?

The farm’s manager and owner see each report and the daily digest. Other workers do not see each other’s reports. Reports, recordings and photos are kept for 90 days, and every worker can read a plain-language page in the app explaining this.

Which phones does Rumi work on?

Both apps run on iPhone and Android. Rumi Daily also works through WhatsApp, so a worker can report from any phone that has it.

What does Rumi cost?

Rumi Daily is free during the pilot. Rumi Walk is in beta and has a free plan that covers up to 50 walks a month while the beta runs.
